AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Advisory Council

The RSVP Advisory Council supports the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program by ensuring it remains responsive, inclusive, and impactful for both volunteers and the communities they serve.

What they do

The RSVP Advisory Council brings together volunteers, community partners, and leaders to provide guidance and support for the program. This group helps shape priorities, strengthen the volunteer experience, and ensure RSVP continues to meet the evolving needs of Muskegon and Oceana Counties.

What you’ll do

  • Provide input on program goals, priorities, and emerging community needs

  • Review and evaluate policies, procedures, and volunteer experience

  • Support volunteer recruitment and recognition efforts

  • Assist in the appeals process when a volunteer requests review of an adverse action

  • Serve as an ambassador for RSVP and promote volunteerism in the community

  • Those who want to help shape a meaningful volunteer experience for others

Commitment level

  • Meets every other month (1 hour)

  • Ongoing engagement as an ambassador and advisor

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
