United Way of the Lakeshore offers funding opportunities designed to help strengthen programs, support innovative solutions, and address community needs across Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana Counties. Through our Community Investment process and other collaborative initiatives, we work alongside local organizations to help build stronger, more connected communities.
Community Investment Grants | 2027–2029 Funding Cycle
United Way of the Lakeshore’s upcoming Community Investment Grant cycle will support programming taking place from January 2027 through December 2029. Funding opportunities are available for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and community-based initiatives that align with United Way’s priority areas and demonstrate measurable community impact.

Muskegon County Senior Hunger Relief Mini-Grant Program | Muskegon County Senior Millage
United Way of the Lakeshore’s Muskegon County Senior Hunger Relief Mini-Grant Program provides funding support for programs and initiatives addressing food insecurity among older adults in Muskegon County. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to support community-based efforts that help increase food access, reduce hunger, and support the well-being of local seniors.
Funding opportunities are available through September and are renewable based on program impact, available funding, and continued community need.
