Watch Your Investment Double! Double The Investment, Double The Impact!

Thanks to the Robert Tuttle Young Leaders Youth Opportunity Fund, a young leader who gives $500 or more has their gift matched, doubling their impact on community programs.

The late Robert D. Tuttle, former chairman and CEO of SPX corp., was a longtime supporter of the United Way and many other community organizations. After his death in 2007, his children - Tom and John Tuttle and Julie Tuttle Gunderson and their families - created a legacy in their father's name. Respecting his passion, they established the United Way organization endowment fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon. Proceeds from the Robert Tuttle Young Leaders Youth Opportunity Fund, will annually fund programs that serve the afterschool programs of qualified agencies serving youth.

Thanks to the generosity of Tuttle's children, the Young Leaders Program of Excellence, inspired by the life of Robert D. Tuttle, was formed. The gift will increase young leader gifts by matching new gifts of $500 or greater from donors age 40 or younger. The fund will also match increases of $500 by young leaders. The fund matches gifts up to its available assets each year. These gifts will go to the United Way's general funds. The matching funds will go to after-school programs and programs for youth.
