Behavioral Health
Catholic Charities West Michigan’s Behavioral Health Services in Muskegon provides outpatient substance use treatment and mental health counseling for adults and children. Services include assessment, individual/family therapy, recovery planning, and care coordination with courts, CPS, primary care, and community resources, with telehealth available for those in outlying areas. United Way funds are used for sliding-fee assistance and to bridge insurance gaps or high deductibles so clients can start—and stay—in care.
This work advances United Way of the Lakeshore’s mission by removing cost barriers for ALICE households, expanding access to timely, evidence-based care, and stabilizing families. By keeping treatment continuous, the program supports recovery, employment, and family reunification and reduces recidivism—building healthier, more resilient households across Muskegon County.
