What Is the Care Kit Drive?
The Care Kit Drive is an easy and impactful way for your company, organization, church, club, or family to support your community. Hosting a donation box helps engage your employees or members, and if you’re a public site, it invites your community to participate too!
This drive collects essential items that will be shared during the annual Point in Time Count to support individuals experiencing homelessness in Muskegon, Oceana, and Newaygo counties.
Your responsibilities are simple: host a box, spread the word, and get your team excited to join in. We’ll handle the rest!
The drive runs January 5–22, 2026.
All items stay local and support outreach efforts in Muskegon, Oceana, and Newaygo Counties.
Hosting a donation box engages your employees, customers, congregation, or club in a fast, impactful way.

About the Point in Time Count
The PIT Count is a nationwide census happening January 28, 2026.
It helps communities understand homelessness, strengthen outreach strategies, and secure federal HUD funding.
Outreach teams connect with individuals sleeping in vehicles, tents, abandoned buildings, and outdoor spaces.
Care Kits help build trust, meet immediate needs, and provide dignity in the moment.
