The vision for Muskegon Opportunity is that every high school student within the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District service area graduates prepared to be successful in, and having access to, college or career training.


Muskegon Opportunity mission: to develop and implement an educational initiative which creates a “graduation generation” that assures every high school student (within the MAISD service area) graduates prepared to be successful in, and having access to, college or career training.


Muskegon Opportunity has four strategic goals:

1)    Develop an intensive support program to reach at-risk youth that includes countywide mentoring and other drop-out prevention strategies.

2)    Provide broad-based support to prepare students so they have access to and will be successful in pursuing college education or career training.

3)    Encourage parents to actively seek financial aid and help identify and support those who may qualify.

4)    Develop a two-year, last-dollar scholarship program for ALL students, regardless of ability to pay.
