TBG Fitness Continues It's Support of the 2012 Campaign
Mark Myers, TBG owner wants to promote health and help his community by raising money for United Way programs.
10% of all new and renewed memberships at TBG Fitness (formerly Thunderbolt Gym) in Whitehall, will be given to United Way of the Lakeshore. In addition to the 10% pledge, and after 150 new members participate, TBG Fitness will donate $150 of each new annual membership. Anyone who has not been a member at TBG Fitness in the last six months is eligible for this promotion.

Fall Concert Series - to benefit United Way of the Lakeshore
The Fall Series is a show featuring "NIGHT FEVER" -The Magic and Music of the BEE GEEs". This concert will take place at the Frauenthal on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. NIGHT FEVER is a tribute to one of the most iconic 70's bands to ever hit the stage, the BEE GEES.
Tickets for the NIGHT FEVER – BEE GEES Concert are also priced at $20, $25 plus limited $35 Gold Circle Tickets. The “Fall Concert Series” may be purchased as a series package and tickets for both concerts are priced at only $35, $45 and $65 for Gold Circle tickets. 18th Annual Day of Caring - Muskegon County - September 9, 2011 Over 800 volunteers came together to work on projects at Mullally Park and at West Michigan Therapy.
Newaygo County - September 9, 2011 Building, cleaning and landscaping projects were done by community volunteers.
Oceana County - September 10, 2011 Landscaping and other projects were completed at Oceana Medical Care Facility.
Day of Action 2011
The worldwide United Way Day of Action was Tuesday, June 21. Muskegon, Newaygo and Oceana counties were invited to make a difference in their communities and send photos to be posted on the United Way of the Lakeshore website. Was the 33rd annual Mayfest will be held at Muskegon Community College on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Approximately 3,000 adults and children attended this FREE event hosted by Muskegon Community College and United Way of the Lakeshore.
Mayfest is an event celebrating education, the success of our youth and accomplishments of our educators throughout West Michigan. Annually thousands of people attend this event which provides a wonderful mixture of educational, cultural and creative activities. There were more than 100 events for children, teens and adults, including music, dancers, games exhibits and hands-on activities.
Area high school youth are helped to plan Mayfest 2011 through an Apprentice Committee. This committee of approximately 25 students from various schools focused on adding displays, events and inviting additional entertainment to make this event more interesting and fun for their peers.

ABBAMANIA - March 18 concertraised over $12,000 to benefit United Way of the Lakeshore Human Services Center Capital Campaign.

Lumberjacks United Way Game Raises $2,500 Friday, January 14, 2011 the Muskegon Lumberjacks hosted a game to benefit the mission of United Way of the Lakeshore.
The night began with President, Christine Robere dropping the puck and the Lumberjack organization honoring United Way of the Lakeshore partners and volunteers with a Hometown Hero salute.
180 Leadership Partners, and their families, packed section 113 to root on the Lumberjacks to an exciting 6-2 win over the Youngtown Phantoms.
"We are excited to have the partnership with the Lumberjacks organization and all the players and staff who LIVE UNITED in our community," said Robere.
The Lumberjacks generously donated $2.50 for each adult ticket sold for the game and $1.00 for each Junior/Senior ticket purchased. Go Jacks!
