United Way Funded Programs

One of United Way’s focus areas is Education. United Way of the Lakeshore funds dozens of programs in agencies focusing on helping kids succeed, including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Alpha Family Center Earn While You Learn, Child Abuse Council, Catholic Charities, Mediation & Restorative Services, Every Woman’s Place, VolunteerCenter of West Michigan and the YMCA; Newaygo County Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, White Cloud’s summer recreation program, , White Cloud library; StairCase youth summer enrichment, TrueNorth PACE youth program,Shelby and Pentwater summer recreation programs and the Arc.
